Open Voynich is an open, reproducible, interdisciplinary research initiative dedicated to the study of the Voynich Manuscript.
We are not starting by guessing a translation.
We begin with the manuscript itself:
its materials, writing, images, structure, production, historical environment, and the people who may have created and used it.
Our goal is to reconstruct the world around the manuscript, narrow the space of plausible explanations, and only then ask what the writing may mean.

The project has completed its foundational data, transcription, baseline analysis, and robustness validation stages.
We are now entering a broader phase focused on visual features, handwriting and production, historical context, material culture, plants, medicine, regional evidence, and interdisciplinary comparison.
